Half hanging.

I've been working hard on a major project recently and it's called "Controlling Jocelyn's shopping craze"! I had to 'cause it was burning a big hole in my pocket. A really big one! The figures on my credit card bills are enough to make me fall off the chair. I don't buy branded and spend money on it. I love thrift shops and making the most out of my money. It's the cheap little stuff I get which amounts to it. Tops going at $30+. Yes it's dirt cheap but not when you start getting 4-5 pieces of it each time.

That's why I decided to stop shopping till my Hong Kong trip in October. It was still going on well for the first month and plus I was tired out by work which left me not much time to shop during weekdays and all about resting on weekends! I'm just onto the first few days of my second month ad guess what! Maybe it's not difficult to guess! I'm half hanging! I'm dying to shop! Dying to get shoes, bags and clothes! The itch is coming back and getting worst today!!
The bf's grandaunt had just passed away recently and today was her sea burial day. Headed up to meet them at Clementi. They all had a very close relationship with each other and I've always like to be around them. glad that all of them are dealing fine with it. Still a cheerful bunch though I know they will miss her too. 'Cause I do.

Anyways we had Crystal Jade's dim sum lunch at Clementi mall. I've been there a few times but never really had time to walk around. Filling lunch. Just by looking at it makes me so full!

I spotted this shop "Kate love" the first time there and wanted to step in. But I was supposed to SAVE so I didn't go in! Somehow the way it's design and the colour of the clothes just makes one wanna check it out.

I finally step in today and with the urge to at least buy 1 thing and 1 thing only which is also what the bf and I limit myself to. I really look through all the clothes and bought a dress I really like for just $28! The prices are pretty affordable and material wise it's better than Bugis street. But I was wondering what I should wear inside. I've tried on with my leggings and I think it looks weird. Maybe I'll try it with a dress inside.

The other day, I was home looking through all the clothes I have. I've decided (I know I've said it umpteen times) to pack and set up a stall at the flea market so I can get more clothes in hong kong! You see... If you don't clear then you'll not have space for new ones! Took my quite awhile to realise that eh! It's just that I used to have space in the past. But not now. I can't stuff anymore things in! Shoes as well!

My Hong Kong trip is about a month away and I've already got a list of places to go!! It's not my first time in Hong Kong though but I'm still doing my research on where to go for cheap shopping! It just never gets enough, isn't it! But I'll definitely head to Zara and Aldo!! It's way way much cheaper over there! almost about $50-70 different! I saw a pair of heels I love the other day at Aldo, had to hold back!!

I really am half hanging already!!!! Dying soon! So usually what I do when I have the urge to shop, I'll dig out all my clothes and shoes for a mini fashion show at home! Just to remind myself that I actually have this top or that bottom!

Happy holidays my friends! Enjoy the day off tomorrow! And Hari raya to all muslim friends! I'll be back at work tml! :(

Forty hands and Ximending.

Finally met up with the brunch gang after so many chats on whatsapp. I've always love brunch and especially when they served all day breakfast.

Headed to Forty hands this time round, suppose to be famous for it's coffee but am not a coffee lover. The ambience is quite nice just a little small.

The dou sa bao is famous too but it's $2 for one. Maybe 'cause it's flat but get your dou sa bao else where.

The star : Baby Ariel.

 I became her cushion.
Baby Ariel feeling uncomfortable with uncle weirdo.

Dad as an arm chair. She's frowning 'cause we took her pacifier away just to catch her attention.

One moment she was crying and now she's sleeping comfortably on his chest. I'm starting to worry for Baby Ariel. Wrong judgement, feeling safe in the wrong hands!

Met up with Charlton after he came back from Hong Kong. Had dinner at Ximending (Vivo City) and of 'cause serving taiwan cuisine. I've always thought that it was another "Xing Wang" cafe in Singapore but turns out the food is pretty good.

Spicy braised beef noodle but not spicy enough.
Radish fried rice with some meat. Can't remember but it was good.
This was the best dish of all. Radish and egg.

Happy birthday Singapore, my homeland!

Our 46th national day celebration and I believe many of us are looking back on how much Singapore has change and grow! After my first 1mth business trip to Belgium, I realised there's no other place that I'll call home and be closed to my heart.

Happy birthday Singapore! May God continue to bless and prosper this land! Though just a small little dot on the map but bigger than it is!

Updates + New specs

Finally collected my new specs! After months! Love the 2 shades. I can stop wearing my Levis for sometime. Actually I do have many pairs of specs. I did consider doing lasik and save all the hassle of wearing specs. But a friend ever said to me..."save it! Your specs are fashion statement to you."

Indeed it is. I love the idea of being able to wear different specs and looking different. Which I think it does not just applies to me. Specs has gradually become a fashion statement for many of us in this era. Even people who doesn't need specs, are wearing them now! Different shapes, sizes and colours! Accessories are no longer just necklaces, rings, bangles or anklets.

My face look sharp here!

Collected this vintage looking one some time back. When I first tried it, it looked pretty good with the hair covered on the other side as well. But will still wear it! Makes my eyes look even smaller now!
^-^

Took my last paper on Sat for the ACI-SMU financial markets operations course which marks an end to my 3 months course. No more waking up early on Sat for class. Sometimes I really wonder, how do people actually remember so many regulations and stuff. This stuff just really bores me at times and it's too much! But just glad it's over!

I've dealing with a really big problem recently again. Acne has always been haunting me since I was 16. Just started getting better since 2 years back. But I guess the work and sleep I've been deprive of. Plus really sensitive skin got it really bad. Oh! And I went for full face threading. Let's just say I deserve it. Vanity!

Went for facial on friday and it started to improve a little. Also I've been putting up lots of effort to do mask. Managed to get the stuff before my voucher expires in 2 days time!

Oh yea not forgetting to mention... drinking lots of French rose bud tea which apparently helps to give natural and glowing complexion. And! Enhance metabolism which I so need! It's cheap and you can get it from any medical hall. But try to get the french rose buds not the china ones.

I decided to do a little research on floral tea and turns out it really has lots of benefits.

The different types of floral tea and its benefits

Dandelion: Dandelion Tea have a diuretic nature and can help reduce water retention and bloatedness. Dandelion tea can also help rheumatism and as it is a mild laxative, it should not be drunk in large quantities.

Peppermint: Peppermint tea is a good pick me up tea. It has antispasmodic and digestive properties hence it is a great digestive drink to consume after a heavy meal. Peppermint tea also reduces flatulence and is good for head colds.

With such good benefits to our well being, I think floral tea is gonna be part of my life soon. But again, everthing in moderation.

Once again weekend is coming to an end in another 1.5 hours and it's back to work on monday! But a holiday on tuesday to celebrate Singapore's 46th birthday!

Happy birthday Singapore! And happy working week ahead my friends!
