A not so wow friday.

I can't seem to feel the "Wow it's friday" mood today. For some reason. It just felt more like "oh well... Friday. Thanks for coming."

And strangely I didn't felt like shopping today. Oh wait. I bought a pair of shoes. Yes that's it. I guess I'm feeling a little homey today. So it's stay home Jocelyn.

As usual, today while we were walking around, there's one thing we never fail to do. That is to look at the way some people dressed. There's this thing that irritates me a lot and I really mean a lot.

Very often there are girls looking at their best, wearing the nicest looking dress but when I looked down at their feet. Every nice thing just didn't matter anymore. Slippers.

I have a close friend that does this all the time. Flip flops are her life. She wear it with jeans and anything! Until one day I just couldn't take it anymore, I scolded her. Since then, she never really wore slippers when she's out with me anymore.I'm glad. Flip flops are good for a short dinner at the hawker centre or grocery shopping at the nearby supermarket but definitely not town, ladies.

Berms and flip flops for guys are not too bad but not jeans and slippers. Those days are gone! Thinking back I can't believe I did that too when I was 15! Glad that I threw those flip flops away.

What is the most important fashion rule to remember?

Wear what you love and looks good on you! Definitely not flaunting the designers logo anymore. It's the style. So make sure you keep that flip flops aside!

So sweet "sweets"

I'm watching "Devil wears Prada" and there was a scene in Paris. Yes Paris. For a matter of fact, I still cannot believe that I actually did step foot on Paris.

I recalled my rushy 2 days that which doesn't look as beautiful as it does on the show. It's still unbelievable. But I did.

Anyways I recently chance upon a pretty nice shop at Far east plaza while shopping. Cool and trendy stuff at kind of affordable prices.

Canola Grey

#04-117A, Far East Plaza
Open from: 1:00pm - 9:30pm

Do check it out. Bought my scarf there.

Surprise from him. Sweet & sweets!

 Good night peeps!

Quietness, so hard to come by.

It's back to work again tomorrow. I've never felt that my leave were so fully utilised before.

It was 2 short days but quite a number of things done and well spent with him. Today we had some time to just chill out at the cafe while waiting to collect the iphone. And I've come to realise that I've been missing out all these for too long. It was such a peaceful and lazy afternoon. Quiet except for some laughter from the people having lunch and the horn from the ship once in awhile. Other than that it's just lazy.

Hope such days will come by more often.

I have a thing for green recently. Coats and scarf as well. Maybe it's the cold weather, more temptation to shop.

Before logging off, fact for thought.

Good night people!

First post on the 12th day.

After I got rushed on for my last post of the year by the bf just to help with the paste for the steamboat soup-base which got me really pissed off, I have not been blogging. I hate being interrupted while I'm blogging so needless for me to say more when I'm being rushed. Totally hateful and back with my first post of the year only after 12 days.

It seems weird to talk about new year, resolutions and 'looking back' now 'cause the excitement of starting new year has already die off and I should be working hard to fulfill those resolutions I set for myself in this brand new year. But I really didn't have the time to sit down and think that hard on how I want 2011 to be.

I looked back at the past few years "last post" and "first post" of the year and I realised I never did had a specific and proper new year resolution written down before. So which means, at least to me, I have not achieved much in 2010. However I did notice something starting from 2008/2009, one of my new year resolution is to get a new job. Thereafter, I mention it almost every year and I bet in one of those few entries within those years as well. That's why it's not in my list anymore this year 'cause I'm starting to not trust myself on this. Therefore instead of saying "What I have achieved in 2010", I would rather say:

What I have not done in 2010:
. A new career
. Driving license
.Save money

But until the other day when I was somewhere travelling either on the bus or train, I decided to pen down my resolution for 2011. Not too many but it's enough to call it a list.

What I want to do in 2011:
.Focus on God's word.
.Memorise bible verses
.Register to get my driving license
.Work out more. (3-4 times a week)
.Healthier diet.
.Lose 5 kg within 3 monthes and keep lean and fit.
.Proper sleeping timing
.Get the business started (In discussion phase)
.Read as many books I can
.Re-vamp my wardrobe
.Try to spend more time with family and friends

I had a good start with re-vamping my wardrobe. Gave away some "brand new" t-shirts which I bought since poly days and 2 bags to his cousins. You know how some bags just by one look it's shouting at you... "Hello! you have passed the time!". And it's bye. There are really lots more to clear. I'm gonna pack and sell them at the flea market with Emilie. Soon.

Something which I really did in 2010 was to meet up often with some of my friends. It wasn't really one of my resolution at the start of the year. It was only after my Belgium trip in June that I really put in more effort to make lunch, dinner and chill out sessions possible. Seriously it's only when you are faraway alone, you start to realise what you have been missing out or neglecting all this while. In 2011, I hope to be meeting more of my other friends.

As I was typing my list above, I wanted to include "save money". But I have given up as much hope as I did for getting a new job. At the same time, I'm trying to re-vamp my wardrobe and shoes collection so it seems like it's not likely to happen for these few months. But even without the existence of this "project", I don't think it's possible. I will try. Does it sound not convincing enough?

I think so too. Nevertheless, I'll still try.

There you have it. My "first" post of the year.

Anyways it was great brunch at "Food for thought" and shopping session with Mei last Sunday. We spent some good 1-2 hours at Bugis street and bought some tops at a steal! And we rushed off to Far east plaza.

It's been raining non-stop these 2 days and I'm definitely enjoying the cool weather. If it's cold just pull on a jacket and embrace the coldness. 'Cause when it's hot, there's nothing else for you to remove on you and your mood just stinks.

Last day of leave tml and I'll be back to work on thursday. We have the day all planned out for later and it's more shopping! Talk about saving money. Haa!

The photos are taking too long to upload and I'm someone with no patience. I'll upload with more buys tml.

Have a good day at work friends! Good night!
